So the story goes....

My fiance and I have been engaged for a few months now and are set to be married on February 19th 2011. He made the decision to apply for an Officer position in the United States Air Force a few month before we were engaged. I personally thought the idea was ridiculous, why would the man who says he loves me want to do something where he would have to be away from me for long periods of time? After a few days I got over the initial shock and decided if this was what he wanted to do with himself I was going to be the most supportive future officers wife anyone had ever seen! And I was! I helped him with all of his paperwork made sure he had everything together days before he needed to have it turned in. We were sure that there were not going to be any complications. My fiance had above average scores, above average GPA, perfect physical seemed to be a dead ringer for this position in the Air Force. The application process took forever to complete and the day we all had been waiting for had finally arrived. The day we find out the boards decision...he didn't make it. We were both devestated and felt like the world had just looked us over without second thought. Which brings us to now. The board has informed us that we can go through the entire application process again in 180 days. I have decided to blog about the experiences, up and downs, and results with everyone as we attempt to achieve Our America Dream.
